Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

My baby's first birthday and baptism is near!

Hi everyone. Sorry for the less update in the commissions. We are preparing for the first birthday for my son this coming October 13,2011 and also his baptism on October 15,2011! Due to financial that I am less active in Deviantart. But thanks to a certain someone (you know who you are), I can finally keep going on my commission without a problem, though my bf's asthma have trigger (I hope he gets well soon). So after his birthday and baptism, I will be able to update pending commissions, original arts and will finally be open my commission (new prices) w/ freebies.

So I hope, that you understand the reason of the very slow progress of each commission. ; A ;

Oh my gosh I CANNOT believe he is turnong one!!! Where has the time gone?! And his baptism? Oh he is a lucky little guy!! I send hugs for you and him!!

And once i am more financially up on my feet (been having some money problems of my own) I will be asking for some comissions from you yet again!

btw, everyone LOVED the commissions you drew!! most my friends have gotten them and each is just astounded at your work. Plus I showed you work to a guy in my class who is working on a comic and he said you work is "so damn impressive I would be asking her for all kinds of art if I wasn't broke". So yes, expect commissions from new people hopefully soon!!
